The 20th Jameson Empire Awards 2015

Empire is the UK's biggest selling film magazine, their annual awards are sponsored by Jameson and voted for by the readers.

For the design I wanted to reflect on the golden age of cinema through the use of art deco streamlined designs. This was mixed with slick purposeful motion to provide a modern edge. The golden tones and filmic glitter added to the atmosphere for a sophisticated and exclusive event.

The sparkle effects were achieved by filming real glitter in a water tank and carefully layering the results with graphic elements. The award categories, nominee and winner slides were all given the same look.

A-list talent including Christopher Nolan, Jessica Chastain and Ralph Fiennes attended the event held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
